I am not talking about people like U.P.S drivers and people that keep them on for work. I am talking about the people that wear them at restaurants and the mall. Why do people do this?

Actually it is affecting my life. When I go to wait on someone and read them all the specials and go take their order and find out they weren't even paying attention to me. It not only waste's my time, it is extremely rude. DON'T WEAR ONE IN A 4 STAR RESTAURANT!!!

These people at the mall and at resturants have them on because THEY'RE USUALLY STILL WORKING. Or on duty. Some people have professions in which they are always on call. It's convenience. If it's not attached to your head, then why worry about it? It's not affecting your life or making you any less able to continue on about your day, and if it is then I suggest you seek professional help to get over that problem.

I have to agree with you, I think cellphones have aided in the continued rudeness and inconsideration of people nationwide.

I don't understand why people feel that it is necessary to talk loudly on their phones and seemingly include everyone within a twenty yard radius into their conversation.

There are exceptions like those that use cell phones for work and things of that sort, but is it really necessary to scream and holler about what Jukie and Krissy did last nite. Who cares!

Cellphone users need to learn to be more considerate!

I was waiting in the SWA gate at MCI two weeks ago and this insane woman, well dressed, was walking back and forth, talking in an extremely loud voice while gesticulating in an alarming manner. I pitied her as a bit deranged. Then I noticed the Bluetooth. I pitied her even more.

apparently because they think it makes them LOOK as important as they THINK they are...don't you hate it when somebody walks up to you, and they're talking, so you start talking back, and then realize they have a bluetooth headset on & they aren't talking to you at all?? i'm SO glad i'm not THAT "important"...i can actually NOT answer my cell phone in public! (don't tell the "cool" kids, though, i'll surely be stoned in the town square...while they all ramble on & on on their silly little headsets)

We are all like children, but, as we get older we have more complicated toys. I always think they playing "Star Trek" and pretending they a "Borg".
When I got my first cell phone I would always answer; "This is Captain Kirk, beam me up Scotty"! LOL!

Most people cannot handle "separation anxiety" from being incommunicado. It's stupid. I don't want to be gotton ahold of. Especially if it's work. I want to have a private life!
