I would like to be a journalist and work for a website or just television but i want to look for good news instead of the bad news. If its hard or easy id like to know how you find these kinds of stories?

Part of the joy of the business is that you have both good news and bad news. The contrast makes it interesting. The world is filled with both, and that's reflected in the news.

Yes, sometimes it seems like bad news dominates. That's because breaks from the routine are newsworthy. 200,000 homes didn't burn down today, one did -- which is covered? 2,000 airplanes landed safely, one didn't. And so on. That's part of the business.

On the other hand, there are plenty of good stories out there. I did a story last year on a woman who had a stroke, and came back to win a 5-kilometer race several months later. Not just compete, win.

People overcome cancer, lose weight, do good for others, etc. Those stories are out there too.
