EMERGENCY with iPod Shuffle?

ok so i am going on a t rip in 30 minutes and i havent used my shuffle in a very long time but i am going to use it so i went to update it and charge it on iTunes, and it all worked fine. i took it out when it was charged the next day and when i turned it on it was ok, but then i pressed it 3 times to make a song play and it kept flasing back and forth to green and brown. wat does this mean? and wat can i do to hear my songs being played?

I would say call apple's hot line or geuinus bar. I would say its your only hope.
