Personally, I think the show is one of the best on TV, but heard it was cancelled only to find out they are airing two new episodes. Even if these were already finished it seems the network is making a strange choice in playing them if the show is cancelled. Has anyone heard anything different?

according to nbc.com, it is being cancelled and has been replaced by a show called The Black.
There is a petition to sign to keep the show on. it's:

No. NBC picked up yet another 9 episodes --extending the order to 22 for this season, --although they are going to be paying Warner Brothers television far under the unique $3 million in step with episode license cost. susceptible scores, although, have placed the prepare's destiny previous would uncertain.

NBC will air the previously recorded episodes every Thursday night starting from tonight, but the show will not be coming back next year.

I like this program, too! And was surprised to see it airing because it was cancelled.
But - Then Again, most of the stations have been jumping the primetime shows all over the place this last season.

That show was excellent....

I watched it a few times. Matthew Perry got on my nerves. He was so whiny and needy, he should have just put a dress on and stuck an "Executive Nancy" plate outside his door.

And no one else from the cast was memorable.

It also suffered in that Tina Fey's show was sooooo much better, dealing with exactly the same setting.
