hi...i'm a 22 yr old woman. my husband proposed having sex during my period...is it safe? are there any health issues concerned? would it be any different from normal sex? i had another thing churning in my mind. what's a 'rainbow kiss'? my hubby said i'll love a rainbow kiss...he said it while he was talking about this whole sex-during-period thing...so i guess it might be related to it. what say? please answer this one...i'm curious...

I've read some of your answers and a rainbow kiss sounds pretty gross to me. But yes I've had sex a couple of times while on my period with my b/f of 6 years and that's only when I'm very light. Any other time would be to messy. If a rainbow kiss is what people say it is your husband is some kind of freak lol!

Ive had sex during my period before with my bf of 4 yrs but usually only if it is a light flow day and stuff b/c i would prefer not be covered in blood. yuck... but anyways i dont know of it being a bad thing. and the rainbow kiss thats kinda nasty if it is really what the other people say it is lol

I haven't heard of any health issue with having sex during a period. I had sex during my period which is uncomfortable at times but it works.
Now, a rainbow is something I never heard of. I would like to know that one.

Sex during the period is messy and smelly, to be frank. I found it sometimes brings on a heavier flow too.
As for the rainbow kiss, I'm going to have to watch your answers. I've never heard of that.
Why not ask the hubby what it is?

A rainbow kiss is when the guy takes the "juice" from the period into his mouth and shares it with who he is kissing during a kiss. Disgusting but hey everything has to have a name I guess. I didnt know I had to look it up.

Sex during a period is unhealthy. A period is your body ridding itself of waste (inner lining of the uterus). You can get pelvic inflammatory disease by having sex during a period. If he loves you, he will wait. As far as a rainbow kiss, I have never heard of this. But, you know how it goes, there's nothing new under the sun. Sounds like something somebody made up.

dont know what a rainbow kiss is but oh well as for having sex during periods is a little gross but I propose the idea to my GF and she said yes and weve done it but NOT during a heavy day becuase youll more than likely get BLOOD all over the sheets but no health issues as far as I know

I have no idea what a rainbow kiss is. He obviously does, so just ask him.
As for sex during menstruation, no problems there...there is nothing wrong with it...it's just a personal preference to either have sex or not during that time of the month.

well brace yourself a rainbow kiss is when a man goes downtown on a woman who is on there period and I'm not sure if it is safe to have sex while on your monthly but me and my husband do do the nasty every once in a while when I'm om mine so if you haven't tried it just try it once then you will know or you can just ask your Dr for the advice
