A very wise old biker advised me no real names. The property patch I started for my ex husband says, Rebel's Belle, Rebel's hell. I promised him I would add property of above and his name below the whole tattoo for our 25th Anniv. We never made it. I am covered though cause Rebel could be anyone.

Wow.... that's why I swore to NEVER get ANYONE'S name tattooed on me except my own.
I have two tattoos and the one I'm saving up to get removed is on my left shoulder blade and is of a Playboy Bunny with its left ear flopped over and, you guessed it, my name under it in pretty cursive writing. I got it when I was 18, and now that I'm 21 I can see why I shouldn't have gotten it. There are certain shirts I can't wear to work, it's constantly showing all through the summer months (I live in Georgia. It's practically a rulle that you can't go outside without a tank top on around here), and any wedding dress worth wearing is sleeveless. It's absolutely adorable but something like a rose would've been a little better.... but a freakin' Playboy Bunny?!? What the hell was I thinking??! Oh yeah, that I was 18 and knew everything... that's right.
The other tattoo is the Chinese symbol for independence on the small of my back and I've wanted it since I was 15 and it means a lot to me, so that one can stay. And yes, it DOES say independence. I researched it first. I'm not THAT stupid. =D

It is always difficult to see your body change almost instantly, even if you wanted that change. You are so used to seeing yourself in a certain way and when that changes in a matter of hours, it can be a little traumatic. Assuming that you thought through the design and took your times to make it right for you, I can almost guarantee that if you relax a bit and embrace the new you, that you will be loving it and showing it off in no time. I remember when I got the first part of my back piece done, and I had just the outline done on my thigh, bum and lower back, I felt sick to my stomach because even though i loved the design, I couldn't *see* myself that way yet. I became so anxious about it until I realized I was just going through the separation pains with my former, slightly less inky, self. Now the tattoo is done (and *huge*!) and i can hardly believe I ever had my body other than the way it is now. I love it but had to embrace it. You'll be fine! I bet it looks great. You should post a picture in celebration!

Nope! But then I wouldn't tattoo someone's name on me unless it was my children and I don't have any kids. I don't regret any of my ink!

LOL. No. I got my tattoo before it was accepted for females to do so. I have never regretted it.
