List Of Things For Baby

2016-11-07 08:27:46 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

For the baby, you;ll need: diapers, wipes, baby bath or soap, lotion or oil, baby shampoo. You may need petroleum jelly (Vaselilne) for the circumcision area if you have a boy. The hospital will probably supply you with any ointments you may need for this or for the umbilical cord site. You'll need bottles, nipples, a bottle brush, and pacifiers if you're using those. Depending on where you live and the season the baby will be born (fall for you, right?), you'll need onesies and/or footed sleepers for cool nights or air conditioned homes. You'll need to start out in size 0-3 months. You'll need receiving blankets and crib sheets, bassinett sheets if you are using a bassinet. You'll need burp cloths and little bibs. You'll need a baby monitor so you can hear the baby when you aren't close by. You will need an approved infant car seat to bring the baby home. Those are the basics. I can't think of anything else at present.
Oh, sometimes babies scratch their faces with their own fingernails (fingers are too tiny to trim nails), and you may want a pair of little slip-on mittens. You'll find these in all the baby departments and often in drugstores or dollar stores.

Sometimes hospitals give you a new baby care package, which contains samples and small trial sizes of diapers, wipes, formula, bath products, etc.

A tiny newborn doesn't really need much - those cute little booties, hats, headbands, socks, etc. are for later on. Just give him or her the basics, and plenty of love. They'll thrive on it!

Hey Hun! I have a Holland Lop and it seems like you have what you need but you need to get her treats! Go to Wal-Mart or your local grocery store and by some Romain Lettuce, Strawberries, Blueberries, Bananas, Carrots, Celery, ect! Rabbits really love fruits and veggies but no matter what you do make sure that you don't buy Iceberg Lettuce! Only feed her Romain lettuce or she can get really sick. As for her litter box don't use cat litter. The best stuff to use is stuff called Yesterdays News. It isn't bad for them. Also I'd place a layer of Timothy hay over the Yesterdays News because they like to snack while they use the restroom! Good luck with your new bunny!!!!

Lots of love and most important patience,
the usual things are bottles if you're going to bottle feed, formula (apply for WIC) if money is an issue, formula is expensive, diapers, baby wipes, clothes, a few blankets. I am a firm believer in onesies and socks, a baby should always have socks on it feet. ( that's just me though). If you plan on breast feeding you should have a pump, and a bottle on hand just in case you have problems breastfeeding.

• Car seat-correct size based on weight of child.

• Pram/push chair- correct size based on weight of child.

• Changing mat,

• Baby wipes- being careful of any allergies your child has, I would recommend getting non-fragranced sensitive skin wipes while unsure of any allergies and your baby is young.

• Nappies- correct size based on weight of child.

• Toys-age and ability appropriate, also try getting lots of bright colours and different textures to stimulate the child.

• Bottles-determine the size of the bottle on the size of your child, large child=large bottle.

• Sling-baby should be facing you as if child was facing outwards it could cause curvature of the spine.

• Stair gate- when child is crawling and walking.

• Cot- ensure this is British kite marked as this guarantees it was well manufactured.

• Baby monitors.

• Soft books, with different textures, as this can involve you, when you read them, but also baby can play alone with these.

• Bibs,

• Safety socket covers and other baby proofing,

• Sterilising equipment
