This is a question I've been wondering for a long time myself.
However, I do remember after the bush twins were caught drinking alcohol in a bar while using fake I.D.'s, their mother asked the news media to keep "her" family out of the news, so I guess they complied to her wishes.

Chelsea Clinton was barely in the news either. Sounds to me like a 16 year trend of nobody caring. Come to think of it I don't remember much about Bush Sr. or Reagans family being in the news. Let's call it a 28 year trend.
Hardly a conspiracy. Did I just date myself?

I don't even hear much about Ron Reagan Junior very often, and he's a public figure, being a news columnist. I haven't seen the names "Chelsea Clinton" or "Amy Carter" in print in years, I don't remember Nixon's children's names, and I'm not even sure if Gerald Ford even had children. The only children of presidents currently making the news are the current President himself, and from the occassional moron that wants to make the actions of non-political adult persons a political event just because they might be embarassing enough to harm a political enemy.
In case my suspicions are correct and you are a liberal, I just called you a moron. I doubt you'd be capable of realizing it if I didn't make myself clear.

Maybe they've been keeping their clothes on and their noses clean. Being good can't compete with Lindsey and Paris antics for the cover of all the grocery store smut mags.
