When you desire to be something or have something, part of the fun is the journey to get it. Sometimes, however, you find out that having "it" is more of a pain than not. Talk to people who are accustomed to being poor and having to work to get everything they want. When they get time off, they often go to the parks or visit their relatives and friends because they don't have the money to do much else. They wish for money and often complain that if they had the money, they could do so much more. Once they get the money, they find out that having more means much more is required to maintain what you have. You have to work more hours, pay more taxes, maintain and insure everything and you have to "protect" your things. You realize how hard you had to work to get what you have or where you are and you don't want to lose it so you have to make choices that weren't so difficult to make before. Do you spend time with your family or do you go to the next town to complete another sales call? People who realize their ambitions and dreams often become jaded and even jealous of their former friends because they realize they no longer have the time to have fun and do the fun things they used to do. Now they have responsibilities and the high cost to maintain their possessions and live up to their responsibilities leaves them little time to do much else.
Some people like the challenge and they'll work toward a goal. Once that goal is attainable, they will reanalyze their desires and won't actually reach the goal, they'll change directions. They realize there would be no benefit to actually taking the final step. Others realize that once you get to the goal, there is another whole set of stairs leading to the next position and there are more people on that same set of stairs. If you really want what you've failed at, then all you need to do is keep changing tactics and paths until you find the right one. You should look inward to decide if you really want to "regain a clinch on something u failed at soo many times". Sometimes the reason you fail is because deep down you don't want to succeed. It's like reading a great book or watchin a great movie. You get so involved in it, you really don't want it to end. Once you get to the end, it's a big let down. That fear of success or that perceived let down might be your inhibitor.

first of all there is nothing that you are going to get if you do not try. but yes sometimes you get luck and get it but usually not. so if you desired for something and failed that does not mean that it cannot be done or it cannot be attained. The source of motivation should be that one day I will get it or one day i will attain the it. Remember the very happiness that you will get when you get something or do something that you have earlier failed. It is fantastic. So no other motivation is required if you think in that way :)
