Well, let me start by saying that you are no where near a failure and especially in life. Two C's are nothing. If your grades are that important to you then try harder next year. I'd hope that your parents would be understanding enough to know that you did your best and be proud of what you have accomplished and excelled at. Try not to beat yourself up because in the long run these grades don't amount to much. You might be surprised to learn that when you apply for a job nobody asks to see your transcripts. I'm not saying that it is okay to goof off and not give it your best because trying your hardest is what is most important in having a successful life or career. So, don't fret, be honest, and tell your parents that you'll try even harder next year. Good luck.
I never said grades are unimportant their just not worth demeaning yourself over. My point is that 2 C's do not make you a failure, but not trying your best does. Also, I do know something about grades. I have two BA's, almost three. I've also been on the Dean's list. Not a single person has asked to see my transcripts.

Dawn is wrong. Grades are important. Very important! That is why your parents want you to get the best grades you can. That is why they push you to get good grades because they are so important to your future. They determine whether or not you can be admitted to certain colleges for example. And if you think employers don't look at your transcripts, you better think again. When I graduated from college and had to go out and find a job most of the places I went to find a job asked to see my grades. I'm an accountant so grades are important. Some professions may not think they are so important like janitor, or garbage man. But for the jobs that count and those that pay well, they are interested in your grades.

That said, I want to tell you that you are not a failure. As long as you did the best you could than that is all your parents can hope for. You did the best you could didn't you? Be honest with yourself. Could you have gotten B's instead of those C's? Either way you can't change anything now but you can try your best in the future and tell your parents that you will do the best you can. Always do your best!

I would not allow a few fool inform you what to do along with your lifestyles. Who cares what they suppose and why. I think while a man or woman is more youthful they're extra inclined to think anyone hates them. There is also a couple of dull children within the engineer pupils who "hate" CS majors. Most who you suppose "hate"you, simply do not know you and do not hate you. Focus for your reviews, study up to you'll, attempt to have a bit of a laugh even as you're in tuition. Definitely do not pay any concentration to humans who "hate" you on account that you're majoring in a detailed most important.

I believe there is more to this question. for instance:

Why did you promise your parents you'd get all A's and B's?

What was their initial reaction?

Are you really more worried that you failed them or are you more worried that you failed you?
