Please, if all you are going to say is...well they enlisted and this is what they get, don't respond. I don't want to hear that.
I just wonder what you think Bush is feeling upon hearing of the one found today and the 9 that died yesterday and the 7 over the weekend. Does he really understand the cost these guys are paying. Does he care? Does he understand that they are dead because he is incompetent?

Sheila S. I asked for an answer to a question. I did not ask for personal assessment. The idiots are people like you that put this fool in the White House and continue to support his stupidity and his stubborn ego. Why don't you go enlist. You are typical neocon....let somebody else bleed and die while you sit on your fat butt and cheer them on. You sicken me.

My father and a couple uncles were career military and they think just about like I do about Bush. They think as long as it is not one of his, then he does not care. My father dislikes Bush as much as I do. Bush reeks of incompetence.

No, how could he possibly. He has no experience with hardship. He doesn't even KNOW anyone who makes less than $70,000 year. He's never worked, he's never served, he's never been poor, he's never been directly threatened with violence.
How could ANYONE born in an ivory tower understand what poor kids are going through, or how much the bullet hurts when it meets the bone. Or what it is like to lose a limb. He has absolutly no clue.

Yes he feels every death deeply but is focusing on the greater good of our nation. Too many so-called Americans at home are not paying much attention to this global war on terrorism. They are to busy with their own private little war against their neighbors that happen to be a little different from themselves. The Americans that are paying attention to our soldiers are only focusing on the tragedy of war and not the future outcome of our victory over terrorism. One place President Bush has to show more humanity is toward our soldiers when they return home from protecting our nation and become Veterans. The suicide rate is high among returning veterans and presently new veterans are literally begging for heath care and a veteran suicide prevention hot-line.

He is to dumb to realize anything and he doesnt care because he has nothing at stake. He is going to be regarded as the worst president ever and there is no time to change that. When Hillary takes office and cleans up the mess that he made, Im sure that he will declare his war a success

Yes.
But why are you asking for our opinion of what is inside the man's brain? And then you lambast an answerer who does the same thing to you.
This is hypocrisy, Liberals. To think you can judge another's motives or feelings yet refuse to take an honest and open look at your own.
ADDED: You know what the motives of Liberals look like to me? Do you care? I think that Liberals are frightened about the post 9-11 world, because it forces them to set aside their notions that we have any hope of achieving world peace. And I think instead of coming up with a plan for fighting terrorism, they are making their president into the enemy. And I think it is tragic.

If you have to ask a question like this, you have no concept of the anguish a commander feels when sending troops into a situation where they might get killed.
I find it fascinating that no one came up with tripe like this when it was Bill Clinton send troops into harm's way. And yes, we had troops killed in action on the orders of President Clinton.

No he does not care. If he did he would have canceled all of Halliburtons contracts for giving the soldiers contaminated water and serving meal rations that had been shot up and had the bullets picked out of it.

Not only does he understand and care, he has been trying to get congress to send federal money to the troops and they continue to grandstand and delay. Bush, like any president, has to make tough decisions. You may not want to hear it, but why would anyone who doesn't want to be involved in combat, join the military? No one wants to die, but every war has casualties. This war has far less than any our nation has fought. It's your opinion that he is incompetent, I salute his efforts... why do you think he's "incompetent"? What do you know about foreign diplomacy that you think he doesn't. You are typical of most liberals, you'll whine about a problem but don't seem to have a better solution.

He cares so much that he's never attended a fallen soldier's funeral. However, he does find time to entertain CEO's from Halliburton and Exxon-Mobil at his Crawford Ranch. Go figure.
