Does Wikipedia actually have any credibility? Can't anyone put any information for anything up there? So isn't it possible that when I'm reading something that seems perfectly logical, someone just wrote crap and made it sound good? Please, explain to me if/why Wikipedia is good or bad, right or wrong, true or false.

Thousands of people look after Wikipedia. Most articles are being watched. Unsourced claims are usually removed or tagged for verification. There are hundreds of featured articles, in which every sentence is correct and sourced. Wikipedia is the biggest encyclopedia ever created.

But don't expect every single detail in Wikipedia to be true. There is a chance that it is not. But trust me, it's hard to add wrong information to important articles. Try and you'll find that your addition gets removed.

The information on Wikipedia is probably good and has a 90% chance of being right. Whenever anybody gives "crap" on Wikipedia, there is some bot which helps correct the vandalism.

it's as good as the people who post and edit the information. That said, there are a lot of good people doing that. There are plenty of pages that have their sources listed right on them so if you have any question about their credibility, a quick trip to the library can clear up any doubts.

It's not a substitute for research but it's a great place to start for gathering information to base your conclusions on. Once you get started, you still want to go to validated sources for final citations.

Yes, anybody can edit it any way they want. But, there are also many people who are honest and will fix the crap that people put up. It is very credible in my opinion, I have gotten a lot of good information off of it.
