Would be a hot-selling item on eBay? I have a large collection of 80's cassettes, that I have amassed over the years, and I was wondering
if anyone thinks I would get much for them on eBay. They're mostly well-known bands like Depeche Mode, Simple Minds, Sinead O'Connor, etc.

i've tried selling tapes on ebay before with not much luck. i gues it depends on the bands. but i dont think tapes will become collectors items like vinyl.

Have to agree with the above poster, never had any luck selling cassettes for more than around 25 cents a piece on E-Bay. The draw of LP's being so popular and sought after collectors items is no longer the warped records they contain, but he album art that can be displayed. Music cassettes lack the artistic appeal and new cars don't have cassette tape players in them and most albums have been converted over to CD's (unlike many vinyl records, especially if not "popular bands", but have a cult following).

I think your best bet is to try selling them as a lot rather than individually.

You'd probably get more if they were less likely to be commercially available on CD.
