I am interested in selling some birthday cards to some big retailer, such as card warehouse. Firstly, do you think it is likely they will buy cards off me, about how much do you think i will get per card assuming they sell for between £1 - £2 and do i need to copyrite them or anything like that?

The big stores get their cards from publishers, but a small gift shop might take some on consignment. Go to a shop that sells locally made handcrafted items, not a chain store.

I think most likely they would hire you to draw or make their cards, as opposed to buying your ready made cards.
You could sell your cards in packs on e-bay, or locally.
