Of course there are the Great Lakes, Great Bear lake and slave lake in Canada, Great Salt Lake, Lake winnipeg, the caspian sea (which is actually a lake), Lake Chad and Lake Victoria in Africa to name a few of the largest lakes in the world. Interesting fact--20% of the worlds fresh water is found in the Great Lakes. Austrailia does not have a major lake. There are only 2 in South America and 2 in Asia.
