I have a theory that over the next year, everyone will get off of the island and the show will follow their lives back in the real world. Then for whatever reasons, their lives will be totally miserable. Then maybe the next year it will be about their quest to get back to the island because they realize that they were never supposed to leave.
Then in the very end, Jack and Ben will team up to lead their community of people because Jack will realize that Ben was right all along...
Any thoughts on this rough idea?

You may be right. It appears with the flash forwards from last night that Jack feels he made a mistake leaving the island. I wonder who the dead person was in the press clipping who upset Jack so much. I don't think Ben will be involved though. He is a true nut case and would have a hard time sharing power with Jack. There is no escaping the fact that there is something special about the island and it's powers. I hope the show does not move to the real world. With everyone living in different places and no magical things happening, the show would be like any other drama.
Maybe the story is based on the rise and fall of the Soviet Union, which was also isolated for many years from the rest of the world. Much like the island on Lost. They decided to be "saved" and are now having problems adjusting. Who knows, they may one day decide to build the wall again, returning them to their "island".

Considering what they do with the time line in the show who knows where it will go.
Seeing Jack self distruct was sad.
I watch the show at the recap and finale and get the whole show sum up for me.
Kind of nice don't have to follow it week to week.

I think that will happen too. We'll see Jack organizing a big convoy back to the island, and maybe the flashbacks will be how they got rescued!

good theory, did u watch the recap before the finale, where the writers said that they all stepped up and became heros on the island one way or another. i think someof them are destined to stay and some have a desire to leave but wont.

I'm just glad Hurly saved the 3 dudes from getting shot. I hope charley floats out of the portal and gets saved, we need to start a save charley campaign!!!!!! and where the hell is penny???????

lost has become boring and crap never really liked it the plot was crap and the acting was worse
