I know some tomato plants have what I call succer limbs that don't bear tomatoes. I would like to get rid of these before my tomatoes start growing.

Look for the limbs that produce little yellow flowers (buds). This is where the tomatoes grow from. Don't overcut the limbs or the plants may die.

Suckers form in between existing branches. They sprout from the middle of the "Y". Pinch all of them off as soon as you see them starting to come in. They will not produce fruit and they use energy the tomato plant could be using to make more tomatoes. Hope this helps.
