Look for a 5/6 hour stretch where your nb is sleeping, but youre not. And add a pumping session between that. Your nb might not be at that stage yet, but even if by week4 and your'e going back to work at week 6 you should be in good shape to get started.
I also found they would go thru more than I pumped at work, so an hour or two after they would go to bed, I would pump again right before I went to bed.
Also the feeding and nursing will get a lot quicker, right now its new, and a comfort thing.
Good luck!

I got the majority of my stored milk at 5 in the morning when my daughter started sleeping through the night I would pump 10-15 oz. I would pump after I feed her and then a couple of more times throughout the day/night. It would only take my daughter 20 minutes to eat and she never ate more than 8-10 times a day - I was lucky in that respect. I had over 700 oz stored when I went back to work at 14 weeks so it can be done.

Pump on one side while nursing on the other.
Pump first thing in the morning as that is usually when you can get the most milk.

first of all "chum" is incorrect. Sorry chum yet you have it backwards foremilk is the fewer fatty milk evaluate it skim or a million% them as your toddler nurses or as your pump you gradually get into the two% milk which you would be able to assert then you definately are attending to the tip os your consultation and you have reached the hindmilk which may be the entire milk persay. in case you prefer to you're able to be able to desire to pump to take the sting off your enable-down than feed your toddler than pump returned so your getting the two on your bottle for the freezer. different ideas are to pump somewhat on one component to take the sting off than nurse and on an identical time pump on the different component as you would be getting plenty extra through fact your physique is being stimulation from the toddler and likewise the pump and subsequently you will boost your out placed and boost your freezer stash! and you'd be getting the two foremilk and hindmilk. in the adventure that your no longer in a position to the two than only freeze the formilk through fact as somebody else suggested some breast milk is extra advantageous than no breast milk. solid success and save up the solid artwork!

I fed on one breast, pumped on the other breast. Your milk production will go way up, but it will kill 2 birds with one stone, so to speek. When you do go back to work, your body will adjust (I would get a double pumper, pump both breast at the same time while at work)

our daughter would only feed for 20 minutes but she would take 5 oz of milk until she was 1 month old then increased to 9 oz and then at 4 months we started her on cereal due her never being satisfied.
