If you try to fix your car without any knowledge about how to do it, you will have a car that is even less able to get you around. Would you perform surgery on yourself or go to court without a lawyer? Mechanics are expensive because they go to school and LEARN how to fix cars. But if you want to fix it yourself, the first thing to do would be purchase a service manuel for your specific automobile, then purchase or borrow the required tools and parts, clear a place in your garage to do the work indoors as dust dirt and rain are engine killers. If all this sounds expensive, you are right it is, That is why it is a better idea to hire a trained professional!
