Questions like this help me understand WHY the US is going down the tubes..

I would never vote for Al Gore, he'd be a horrible president. He only considers one side of a topic (i.e. global warming) and seems to be one of the biggest hypocrites I've ever seen. I'm ashamed to live in a country where George W. Bush is president, and I would be just as ashamed if Al Gore was president.

I have to disagree with you on this......Al Gore is so concerned about Global Warming that he could be compared to Bush with his concern about fighting Iraq (as this was his intention for being president)......No offense as we all have our right to an opinion, but there is only a smalll majority that would vote for him (at least two ladies on the View and the rest of the media).....I like Obama but I think he jumped in to early.....I think the nation is tired of both Republicans and Democrats althogehter, but I think we are worn thin on the Republicans so I feel that the Democrats have a pretty good shot.....not quite sure who (John Edwards) but some democrat will probably win this one.....I think everyone is scared of Hilary, they know Obama's real agenda, and who are the other guys?......as for the Republicans Guiliani has the whole 9/11 thing going for him, McCain is an idiot, and who are the other guys? Oh yeah the Mormon (that's a great choice)....we need a leader who will step over party lines and bring this nation together and get our boys out of Iraq while still agreeing to disagree with the other party

No. Al Gore is only under consideration because of his hackey movie. If it weren't for that, he'd be back in quiet obscurity where he belongs.

The mere fact that people wish to vote a man in based on a movie and--while I agree there is some importance to it--global warming, shows how mentally inept Americans are in dealing with conflicts where there is bound to be some pain and hurt feelings.

A war in the Middle East, the annhiliation of Israel hanging over everyone's head, the largest fear of nuclear proliferation since the Cold War, a half-sour economy, out-of-control illegal immigration, murder and genocide spanning whole continents...so many causes that are so much more worthwhile, but people out there still insist that driving hybrids, saving gas and converting to compact flourescent bulbs is the more important issue.

It's no wonder we're in so much trouble.

You have all these retards thinking they are political gurus saying how terrible Al Gore is. I do not care for the dems either but this place sounds like Fox news. FYI Al Gore was already VP for 8 yrs and he got more votes than Bush remember people? Have you seen that quote abt "an old saying in Texas" by our current guy? You would realize we can't do worse.. I mean really!!! I didn't think of a Gore - Obama ticket but that may well be the ticket to beat. All these so called experts saying Gore isn't running do not know crap... The guy has not emphatically said no he is playing his cards and observing... So the answer is.. I am not sure abt best candidate, but very electable.

Not really. I do like Al Gore but he is so fixated on Global Warming, I am afraid his administration will parallel that of Jimmy Carter. We need a person with good peripheral skills to take on this office and I don't feel he can do it effectively. I'm think Obama would be a great and effective communicator, unfortunately, the feild out there isn't much to choose from. In either party.

I would have to disagree. While Gore has done a great job lately, he doesn't seem to display the same fire and courage on the campaign trail. Besides that, if they could make Kerry out to be a coward for his service in Vietnam just think of what they will do to Gore. Finally, the whole issue with the environment and the amount of energy used at one of his mansions will be portrayed as a do as I say not as I do type of individual. It's hard to consider that type of person a leader.

Al Gore has no substance. He is one who follows the whims of the people, not their best interests. (See the link I submitted.) He doesn't seem to have resolve on things he doesn't have major support for. It's easy to start a campaign to combat global warming when most people are already in support of it.
Let's see him make an unpopular decision to go to war when we must (and we will). Obama also has shown to be without substance. Name three specific plans/goals he has mentioned on the campaign trail. I'll be surprised if you could.

Gore is a much maligned and falsely accused person who had the presidency stolen from him. He doesnt claim to have invented the internet and has a sincere interest in the welfare of the country. I remember well seeing an interview in which he was asked, " Do you beleive in gun control"?
He replied that he wanted automatic weapons off the street and 'cop killer' weapons but had no problem with guns for law abiding citizens at all. Rural appalachia press painted him as "anti-gun" and rural folk were on the news there ( in west virginia and kentucky) saying " Al Gore ain't gonna get my gun"..........., he lost key states due to nonsense like that.
Its all so laughable and sad, no I dont support Gore ticket , he would never win and his message never heard, as the clever out wit and discredit rather than listen to the message........
