a miracle of modern science. And a life for children whose parents will die before the get to high school. I understand they want to have kids but don't have them if you can't take care of them

I will throw in the twist to all these answers that this woman is selfish, that she and her husband will be dead before these kids grow up, etc. I think that's BS!! I saw a picture of the parents, and both of them look pretty dang young for being 60. Not to mention....my Mother is 75. She could run circles around most people I know in their 30's. Everyone is different. Some people are physically 60 at 30. And some people are physically 30 at 60. There have been a lot of studies taken. And older parents usually make better parents. Stop ranting about those kids not being taken care of properly...what about all the thousands and thousands of kids out there currently being cared for by their grandparents because their own YOUNG parents were too damn selfish and irresponsible to raise them? These people already have a 6 year old. They know what they are up against. (They also have a 33 year old son and a 29 year old daughter.) I think they look quite capable. And I don't consider them at all selfish. I think they look like they have a lot of love to share. Easily, these kids were very much wanted. Unlike many of the children the younger generation is spawning and ignoring.

I did see it on the news this morning...I am not sure that it's totally selfish...but a bit crazy to me...but to each his/her own..I know by the time I'm that age I want my own free time..I have raised 1 son and still raising another son..after that, I am done! I would like to ask why exactly you feel it's selfish.. nothing against your opinion about it being selfish tho ok..b/c we ALL do have the right to our own opinions! btw, they also have a 6 y/o son..29 y/o daughter and 33 y/o son..

was she 60!? I thought she was 50. I hope she's got some life insurance or those kids are gonna have to pay for their own college, cause she'll be 80 by then. we could really keep the population down if we didn't let people breed before 30 or after 45.

Yes I agree - the poor children. She will be 80 when they hit 20 and that is definitely a generation gap - how is she and her husband supposed to relate to them? Most likely they will not be healthy - not many people are when they are 80 - so there goes the college education or any plans for the children's future.

that's pretty stupid. There is a reason there is menopause. She's not gonna be able to do her best, physically, for those children. Mentally, she'll have wisdom but physically her body is gonna give out on her.

selfish, yes. But the people who told her to get an abortion were probably MORE selfish. And I need to add ewwwww.
