Pretty much my entire life. My road less taken now is the academic route. I'm getting my Master's in Holocaust Studies (which is a twisted path in and of itself) and am planning on getting my Ph.D in the same subject. People think I'm crazy for not stopping after college and getting a 9-5 job like everyone else, but I feel like this is my "calling" if you will, so I am going down this long, expensive, and possibly fruitless role regardless.

Sure did. Walked out of a dangerous as hell job where I was regularly getting hurt, despite the protestations of everyone I knew who did not believe me how dangerous it was. Leaving saved my life. From there, I discovered that people only cared about their image of me in their lives, not who I was or what was good for me. Dropped almost all people from my social circle, replaced them with a few high quality friends, got rid of most of my family, who wanted me to withstand the dangers and abuses at work so that it would fit their crazy idea of who I should be. Never looked back....oh, I also did The Forum, offered by Landmark Education Corporation, read self help, entered CODA, took up my creative arts again....have a CD scheduled for release later this year: funny songs I wrote, mostly.

Mostly, I learned the insanity of the state of humanity, the need for conciliation and peace at all costs, the folly and danger of of religion, all man created all over the world, which has caused the deaths of more on the earth than any other reason.

Yes I did!

And after looking and what it did to my tires I now know why it is the road less taken!

When I let a wonderful man, 20 years younger than I am, bring me out of the dark, into the sunlight again.

When I married for the first time, at 44.

Yep. It can be a lonely road at times, but you have great stories to tell when you get back to civilization! :)
