start doing things that you KNOW that you are good at. eventually you will start to build up more confidence...especially if you place yourself in places that are supportive. once you have gained more confidence ...start venturing out and trying new things...also...surround yourself with people who praise you and distant yourself from people who are critics...some people are always looking for people for someone to put down...sad...but that is the way that they gain their confidence...

Don't view yourself in comparison to what You desire to be but instead view other human beings and how things could always be worse. You have to realize that most of the things you are worried about now, probably won't even matter in 30 years. Learn to live life for today and don't dwell on the past. Life is precious and fragile and can be taken away in any instant. Be happy to be here.

good confidence only comes within yourself. there are a few things that you have to keep in mind.. here is the list.. then i will explain them below.
1) you have to want it
2) you have to believe it
3) you have to be dedicated
4) it takes time
5) reasons?
1.... ok.. you could sit in your room on your couch and eat donuts.. but then you say "i wish i could lose weight" or you could be making fun of someone and then turn to another friend and say that you wish you had friends... its only about self power. confidence wouldnt make a difference if someone told you a thousand times you were ugly or fat.. but if you believe you are and put yourself down you will.. and give in which also increases low self esteem. believe yourself before others.
2.. if someone tells you that you are a great person.. inside or out.. believe it. there is no use to believeing that you are pitiful and worthless. always believe the better side.
3.. going to the gym, wearing approapriate clothing for your body, grooming properly, being physically approachable, are all parts of being dedicated. dont dress for someone else, dont change for someone else, but do it for yourself. something you should do possibly is that each morning when you look in the mirror, pick out something.. just one thing that you like for that day. if there is something you dont like.. think of ways to change it.
4.. something this rapid of a change like self esteem doesnt just come in one day. sometimes it could take about a week and others it could take until you yourself can notice it. just take it in a warm embrace and let it drift.. push youself.. but not too hard. it is all psychological.. not phisical like in books. just think. thats all.
5.. YOU DESERVE IT..!!!!!
GOOD LUCK..
GOD BLESS!!

you know...i dont know how serious you'll take this...but in my experience...the way i gained confidence was by spending some time alone to really gain some self-awareness. it helped me to travel (worldwide) and read a lot to find out what opened my mind and made me calm, excited, relaxed and so on.... and to also just exercise so i could be very aware of my body. for some reason i really wanted to meet like one of those wise old cultured men...who just really know who the hell they are. haha ya know? so basically it all just boiled down to really ..not just knowing, but understanding myself, and exploring different things....and the more funky independent things i did, the more confident i became...kind of like i'd conquered the world...i just really learned to appreciate my individuality and who i was...and with that came a more outspoken, confident person. =) cheers!
