I'm 25, I go to bed around 11 and get up around 7, but I'm always tired and lack any energy. I eat well and get plenty of fish and vegetables but always fell ill. Used to think it was because I was working and looking after my daughter and cleaning etc, but have'n worked this week and still feel pretty unwell.....what's wrong woth me?

I'm not fat, except maybe my hips from giving birth, get plenty of exercise as I have a Staff and am plagued with guilt if he doesn't get walked.
I don't know what to do , because I'm not getting done in a day, what I set out to do, & I know maybe I shouldn't sit in front of the computer blah blah and should go do those things on my list but I don't have the energy.
Obviously I should see a doctor!...but he went to school wot my dad and I'm sure he'll think I'm being a hypochondriac.
Does anybody have like a natural remedy, like boiled seaweed and lime juice?

Are you also cold? You might have hypothyroidism, which means that you thyroid doesn't produce enough hormones to keep you warm and active. Go to the doctor and have a full round of blood tests done, they'll soon find out if it's something they can treat.

Causes of tired-ness:
Weight gain
Hormonal change
Depressed
stress
Restless sleep
not enough sleep
illness
I'd have to know more about you to decide which one is you.
Here's what I tried when extra tired-nees plagued me. First I went to the doctor and had everything under the sun checked:
AIDS, hepatitis, depression, diabetes, ect... they are #1 in causing tired-ness. Well, all that was clear with me. So, I tried my own remedies. I started taking vitamon c, and a few other vitamons and that helped. Do you know what I think it was? I just needed more sleep as I've gotton older. I also think it was hormonal changes because my periods had got worse, too. I ended up having a hysterectomy to stop that (at the age of 27!) So, it could be many things. Good Luck my dear.

Try this go to bed early and wake up lil' early.
Go for a morning walk and walk into the green pastures it will be relaxing and a great start for an exciting day. Also breathe fresh air. keep away from pollution and also consult a doctor if this condition prevails for more than a month or two. Take some green tea and it will keep you fresh as well. But at the same time drink a lots of water. keep urselves attractive and attentive to everything. You will be alrite. Good luck!

I have had the same problem-- follow a good diet and everything, sleep decent amount of time, and work during the day, but I was still exhausted.
It turned out to be a problem with my thyroid! I was litterally having all the energy sapped out of me. With medication, I've been able to resume having the normal amount of energy that I once had.
If you know about any family history with thyroidism, you should go and get a blood test at the doctors. A quick prick can tell you quickly if it is your thyroid, or something else.

Are you a single mom? If so, that has a lot to do with it. You may need a vitamin supplement. I was always tired and I went to the Dr. I have very low blood pressure and had a lack of iron. So I have to take vitamins. It will make you feel so much better. However, it takes a few weeks to kick in. I think you should have it checked out. Good Luck and God Bless. Sounds like you are a great mom.

Are you heavy? Could be 'sleep apnea'. Soft tissue in the throat closes together preventing you from breathing for long periods of time (several seconds up to around 1 min.) This causes your blood oxygen level to get dangerously low not to mention interupts your deep sleep cycle. Being heavy agravates the condition. Skinny people have it too.
Another cause can be 'hyperperithryodism'. Causes excess calcium to be absorbed from the bones, high blood calcium levels, kidney stones and a host of other problems. Bottom line. You need to see your doctor and start with a blood test.
To test for apnea, you must take a 'sleep analysis test'.

Have you gone to a doctor and if so what did he say? Maybe you have a food or other allergy that you don't know about?
Otherwise, it is possible that you might need 9 hours of sleep. Some people need more or less than 8 hours of sleep for reasons of genetics, age, and activity level. My husband, for instance, feels fine on about 6 hours a night while I need the standard 8 hours, 9 when I'm doing my heavy weightlifting routines.

The reason I can think of is glandular fever (epston barr virus). This can be the cause of tiredness. A simple blood test can tell if you have glandular fever. It may not be this but this is one of the main causes of constant fatigue. If you develop a sore throat, you will know you have glandular fever. If it is glandular fever, drink pleanty of fluids and take paracetamol. It may just be your immune system, you can also have a blood test to check white blood cell count. If it is below normal, your immune system is not effective. I'm not a doctor however, so don't take this as a diagnosis.

Maybe depressed, or have you ever had a tick on you that left a bulls eye looking bite? Lyme disease can cause being tired all of the time. If your a city girl I wouldn't worry about it, but if you lived in the country maybe you have been bitten by a tic.

It may be the way you're sleeping or the mattress. You say you eat well but if you go to bed full you're gonna wake up tired. If you nap for and amount of time after 3 you're not going to sleep well, and if you nap at all for more than an hour you're not going to sleep well. I read an article that said use your bed for sleeping and sex only, nothing else.
