Is anyone interested in an alternative halloween product range? Tell me what products you are looking for? How much would you pay?

Halloween is actually like Christmas Eve. The night before a Christian holy day.

It is the eve of All Saint's Day or All Hallows Eve or Halloween. Just like "hallowed be Thy name."

But just like Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday), Halloween has taken on a life of its own.

Christians including Catholics do not fear death, evil, or satan. In Christ, we can laugh in the face of death.

I know some Christian parents who dress thier children up as Bible characters and other saints.

With love in Christ.

My children love Halloween; not just trick-or-treating, but the entire season! They love to decorate the house & the yard, we only go door to door for a few streets & then they want to go home to hand out candy - that's actually their favorite part!
I've taught them the traditions behind what Halloween means & in which countries those traditions originated, so they aren't ignorant about the day....I would say they are as involved in Halloween as your average kid is in Christmas or Easter. We celebrate ALL seasons & they've been taught what each of them means!! I don't really know what you mean by an alternative halloween product; can't figure that one out. I'm even getting married on Halloween this year & then we're having a blow-out costume party the following weekend! That should give you some idea as to how involved we get with Halloween!!

What is "an alternative halloween product range"?

I think kid's involvement in halloween is just fine.

I do not participate in halloween, look up the origins and meanings of halloween for yourself. We all, or most of us, grow up following the traditions of our parents, then pass them on to our children without having known the true reason for the celebration. Also look up the origins and meanings of all the other celebrated holidays. (Smile) Just an idea.

Not sure what youre asking, but my views on childrens' involvement is that they enjoy the costume and trick or treating thing and I disagree with those religions who forbid children to participate. Its not like its a religious holiday..its just kids out having fun. Im also not sure what you mean by alternative products? Like what exactly? I wish youd add to your comments and expand on that. Thanks

i love halloween but am strongly against trick or treating unless jsut round each others houses

the number of tiny children who have knocked on my door alone at halloween and carol singing at xmas while we are at it is mad! and people wonder why children go missing!

also why the feck should i give stuff to strangers cos they ask for it? sod off and buy your own kids sweets! it is rude and begging!!

Oh for crying out loud. Why do we need an ALTERNATIVE. It's harmless as long as children are undersupervision. Or perhaps you think we should have an alternative to Christmas, which does far more damage.

be yourself...be what you want to be... be someone else....the freedom... halloween is great.. the best costumes especially for children are the ones reflecting fairy tale world. elves fairies... thumbelina... snow white... ect... the real fun stuff... the more diverse the better and they didn't have to promote violence to be good.
