I think I was about 6. Bearing in mind, this is well before they decided that caffeine is really bad for kids.

I was about 4 or 5. My uncle had to leave for work at 5 in the morning, so when I was staying at their house on vacation, the percolator would wake me up and I always thought there was a monster in the kitchen....they were noisy! So I would get up and drink coffee with him every morning, and I drank it black, just like he did. I only drank it over summer vacation till I was about 14 though, then started drinking it all the time.
