The laptop must have come with a drivers CD, you just need to install the ethernet & wireless drivers.
..and, check if there are any other drivers that need installation maybe :-)

Hello.... are you sure your Wireless and Ethernet drivers were installed, you should not have to set anything if they are installed because default is automatic... for the wireless turn your switch off install the drivers then reboot windows and turn the switch on, windows will finish installing it, after windows is running open your wireless find a router with an open signal and the open explorer, you can set up your safe guards later....

Make sure you don't have a region code on you software.Lots of programs that were bought overseas has a 32 bit encryption code and will not work in north America nor will the software made in America work overseas. If that not the problem go into my network places and make sure you have Client for Microsoft Networks, and TCP/IP checked this is what you need for proper Internet connections. Setup a new connection and see if it works. do not use any other protocol.

one other thing you can do if drivers for network card are installed(definetly required) goto internet options, check never dial, then goto lan connection check detect ip automatically. from here close thoses out goto run and type in cmd then type ipconfig/ release exactly like that hit enter all zeros will come up for your ip now type ipconfig/ renew hit enter and give it a minute youll either get an ip address or it will time out. make sure you have tje forward slash and space in the typed command. note...hit enter after cmd a black screen will come up.
