Well my little sister is only 3 and she thinks that its so kool that there is a website that you can ask questions on and people will answer. So she wants to ask a question about one of her favorite movies.
One of my favorite movies is Aladdin..... Was that movie suposed to be in India?

Not India...Arabia...Aladdin is an Arabic name.
However, the original story was in a Chinese city.

It takes place in a mythical city of Agrabah in Arabia, although originally it was islamic China.
Yes, that's adorable. Tell her how it is so cool to know that there are all of us out here in the world logging in and out at different times of the day.

Aladdin was part of a group of stories called A Thousand and One Nights, this was a story from the Middle East in fact I think the city was originally Bagdad. The book is still around try amazon.com or alibris.com for availability. You can read more about the storyline at:

Close. In the movie, it was set in the pretend Arabian city of Agrabah. The story it is based on is set in a pretend version of China - probably because the person who wrote the story knew only that China was a strange place far away and it was once common to set strange stories in strange places that people had heard of but knew very little about.
