So my question is,

Can anyone tell us what Oil Companies Bush owns stock in and how much stock does he own ?

Does anyone have facts to back up their allegations, or are people just making it up as they go ?

I do remember reading at www.publicintegrity.org the list of Bush's assets, and I don't remember seeing any stock holdings in Oil Companies.

Sometimes that link works, sometimes it doesn't.

Michael, what does that have to do with Bush owning oil company stock ?

Were talking about now, not 17 years ago.

Thanks Jeeper...Bush owns oil stock? nope..just a myth..

the people had a chance to elect someone else in the last elections..so about 65% of the voters did not bother to vote.

these are the biggest complainers of the Bush administration.
if you want to win the lottery..you must first buy a ticket...duh

millions of Americans own stock in oil companies (some may not even know it because their pension plans own the stock). Capitalization is a huge part of the company's profit, but no one ever talks about that aspect. It's not that complicated, but the messenger may have an agenda. It's interesting how every single American knows about Cheney's relationship with Haliburton, but few know about Hillary and WalMart.

Bush may not presently own stock in oil companies but he is certainly pro oil. He recently said when a congressman told the USA that he would introduce a bill to prevent oil companies from gouging that he (Bush) is for fair trade and that oil companies are part of the American way so they can set prices according to the market. And who suffers? The American people. If a bill is introduced watch gas prices fall.

Not sure if he has stock... big deal if he does. I am really getting tired of everyone bagging on Bush, yeah he doesn't always say the right things but if he is such a terrible president then why the heck did he get elected again. This country has no one to blame but there selves for the things that are happening, this one man did not drive us into this war. If my memory serves us correctly everyone was gun ho to go in there with smoking guns back 6 or 7 years ago, and now that everyone realizes what big can of worms we opened they want to tuck tail and run; I admire the president for not tucking tail and running; and I really hope whoever we in elect in office next will continue fighting for what is right.

The Bush family sits on the board of directors with the Carlyle Group. The Carlyle Group is OPEC, it's no secret. To sit on the board of directors you have to have the higher percentage of the stocks too.

Does anyone see how foolish this is ? Who cares if he does own stock. Do you know how many millions of stockholders own stock in a oil company. Why wouldn't someone own it ? The whole idea of buying stock is to invest in a company that will make money on your investment. Ever hear of free enterprise ?

What facts, the Bushes are one of several families that have been running this country for years. (Vanderbilt's, Kennedy's, Goldwater's, to name a few). Yes they all own part of what keeps the country's economy moving.
If they did not have some control, how could they know how to lead? All the economies of all the continents must keep moving, for our survival.

The Bush family made it's fortune in the oil business. George's grandpa, Prescott Bush, got the ball rolling. Whether G.W. has stock in oil is irrelevant. Because of oil, the Bush family has plenty of money to invest any way they please.
