You have it backwards.

Were here to pay tax's first.

Then reproduce to make new tax payers.

But they want to make sure, they get your tax's first, just incase something happens to prevent you from reproducing.

Assuming you believe you have no other reason to hang around – that would be it. I suspect most people view life as more than just those two things. They enjoy days and in the end would like to leave the world a better place because they made a difference in the lives around them.
