This question depends on your definition of rednecks. There are a few uneducated people in Texas, but they are not necessarily rednecks. Then you have the gun-toting, 4-wheeling, monster-truck-watching, sleeveless-shirt-wearing, mullet-having good 'ol boys who like to barbeque and drink cheap light beer. Now, there might be a few of those in Texas too. I don't think you can put a percentage to it, though.

I'm from Texas. spent alot of time in the country and on farms shooting guns taking care of horses and litening to country. But I have been in Yankee land so long now I lost my accent and dont listen to country anymore. I'd say around 30% of the white people and 40% of the mexicans, and even 30% of the blacks are hicks (being a redneck isnt limited by race). Go to the country you'll see black people acting like bigger hicks than any white person youve ever seen. I met one before with a king cab f-250 with horses painted on the side and a gun rack wearing a cowboy hat and had a accent similar to a black garth brooks.

i'm from Texas, and purely moved to Minnesota. i think of it extremely is because of the fact of Hollywood. look at how they portray Texans. it extremely is what i've got arise with for the main area. something look purely ignorant stereotypes consistent with clothing. I certainly have observed because of the fact that I moved right here that extra human beings in Texas placed on western type clothing than human beings right here. i think of clueless human beings see western clothing, and immediately think of.. ."redneck". That individual in western clothing might have a PhD in engineering and might have spent $500 on that journey!! So I certainly have come to the top that anybody is purely ignorant and gets back out of their containers. And through ways, i've got traveled a lot, stumbled on that persons everywhere may well be impolite, and that i think human beings such because of the fact the extra youthful woman above who classify an entire state as stupid, impolite, or the different function (exceptionally on an identical time as utilising fallacious grammar)... are incompetent fools.
