I'm 15, and for the past 6 months or so during my period, I've been feeling like I'm about to faint. It's never happened in the 3 years since I started. Now, my face gets/feels pale and I start to sweat a little...but then I'm feeling hot and cold at the same time. Sometimes my vision goes black for a few seconds and it takes me about a minute or two to retrieve it once I sit down. When it's all over, it just seems like all the major pain instantly goes away in a snap and I'm back to regular minor cramps for the rest of the few days.

Thanks for your help!

No, this is not normal. You need to go to the doctor and get tested for anemia and have your blood pressure checked. I have low blood pressure and always get anemic during my period.

This could be anemia. Bascially, your blood contains a lot of iron, which your body needs, so when you have your period each montyh, you are getting rid of all the iron. This can make you feel faint and pale. It could be a lack of blood sugar which is common in all teenager, including boys! Just make sure to eat lots of foods containg iron, eat a balanced diet and if you do still feel nervous about the whole thing, visit the doctor, just for your peace of mind.

Just keep smiling, and good luck :)

Hi, It might be sometimes, when you are exhausted or feel nervous because of heavy menstruation or hormonal imbalance. Just take care of it in a more holistic manner. Many times, this is associated with physiological aspects that are not immediate. However, you can take care of them in natural way.

no, because when your blood level is very low, you faint. But now you are feeling like you are about to faint, that's not a good sign, the best way to resovle this situation is to go see your doctor, and tell them every detail

I don't think it's normal, I think you should talk to your parents and see about getting to the doctor.
