GMT or greenwich mean time is the time at Greenwich England. That is where the 0 degrees longitude passes. All other time on this planet is measure with relation to that. Usually they have a multiple of 30minutes difference with GMT

14.18, 2.10pm and 2.12pm on all of the clocks I can see. And 13.26 on the microwave, which is clearly not a timepiece.
