Volant cold air intake and Banks exhaust. to get better fuel mileage, the engine needs to be able to breath in and out better and with a less restrictive intake and exhaust it is able to do just that. these modifications will not void the manufactures warranty due to the Magnusson-Moss Act which states that a manufacturer may not deny warranty coverage solely because a customer has used an aftermarket part so long as they meet or exceed manufactures specifications. you can also increase fuel mileage by not letting the truck idle so much and using the acc. pedal like your stepping on an egg and you dont want to break it, just be ginger with it bud, and also keep the truck tuned up, many people would see so much better fuel mileage if they just kept it in tune. good luck with your new LBZ torque monster and god bless. if you have any questions or comments you can contact me thru email.

cut the fuel to half the cylinders, lol...no actually the easiest way to improve fuel economy is to not accelerate hard...but I've got an even better answer...this was actually tested on Mythbusters. You can run a diesel engine on used cooking oil without any modifications. Just go down to any local fast food place or restaurant and ask them for their used cooking oil. They should give it to you for free. Apparently, all you have to do is filter the oil to get all the particles out of it so that you ave pure oil. Then you can put it in your tank and drive! Now I don't know if the oil will have any adverse effects on any part of your fuel system or engine but with skyrocketing fuel prices, I'd give it a shot. Besides, it was tested on Mythbusters and the car started and ran normally. The drove it and didn't notice any difference than if they would have used diesel, except for a very slight drop in mpg, but why does fuel economy matter when the fuel is free? Hope this helps. :-)

A diesel can rather be switched over to run on vegetable oil. The easist is that in case you have 2 tanks, start up the truck on the universal diesel tank, then after it has warmed up change to a 2d tank containing used vegetable oil you may get for loose at interior of sight restraunts.

There are lots of options, depending on how much you'd like to spend. You can get a tuner like a DiabloSport Predator, Banks Six-Gun or Big Hoss, Edge Evolution or Juice with Attitude. Most of these will offer an economy tune that should improve your mileage.
