Yep. I am currently in just such a situation. I am going on my 5th year of marriage but secretly dealing with a (reciprocated) love that has been going on for the last 13 years.
It's a pretty tough situation, emotionally speaking. Have you found yourself there as well, Irish? If so, I wish you the best....

Can You keep a secret?
Good, so can I !
I think that it is safe to say that I have been in 'love' of sorts with the same person for 35 years. Yet neither of us has ever really taken advantage of the others availability. And now it is far nicer to be in a comfortable relationship than it is to play at being in love, or to marry for the sake of 'formality'.

Yes, and she never knew it. She is married now with a kid, and she is a homecare worker. She does some stuff for my Mum and told her, she used to have a big thing for me, but I would not even look at her.
So, she had something for me and I had something for her and we both didn't have a clue.:(

Everybody is secretly in love with the prototype he/she has created in his/her heart and mind.
Most of the times, that "secret" love is because we believe that this other "secret" person is so very close to our prototype. And we believe so because we do not know this other person's reality!!!
Oh, this imagination of ours!!!..........

Not currently, but yes, at one time I did...I managed to spend a little alone time with this person and couldn't stand him... I learned that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

In the past, yes. Now I try to avoid that sort of thing. It ends up hurting too many people.
Cheers :-)
