Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter #3)

i think that htis is by far the best of all of them. i enjoyed this book so much that i made sure that i bought the tickets for the movie in advance just so that i could see it come to life. i have never been so disappointed . it just seems like she was really in a zone when she wrote this one.

for character i would say.....i forgot her name. whats the girl whose father owned the tattler or magazine that everone takes for granted. the girl who seemed like she was so odd and seemed like she would have a bigger connection with harry.

Hard to choose, hard to choose...........

I would have to say, out of the 6 out so far, I still feel the first book was the best. It was SOOOOOO removed from everything typical in books at the time........and was able to capture the imaginations of millions!! I'm 41, and find the Potter series, on a whole, to be one of the most satisfying reads I've found in a long, long time.

As for characters, hands down.........SNAPE. He's not the evil entity that people are thinking, either.......I have no doubt that he's going to be a major player in the last book, and will have alot to do with Harry finally being able to destroy Voldemort. He's also probably more powerful than either Voldemort OR Dumbledore, believe it or not!!

To the person who mentioned the daughter of the magazine editor, that's Luna Lovegood (or Looney Luna). She's great, too.

I liked Order of the Phoenix the best, because it really opened up in so many directions, with the children starting to grow up and things getting more serious and ominous. A lot was revealed about the ongoing story so it maintained my interest the entire time. Snape played some bigger parts, which was great because he's such a mysterious and intricate character. The whole book was emotional and compelling, and it kept me turning the pages in anticipation. Some of the scenes were a bit boring and annoying, particularly the love and angst scenes, but that can be forgiven because it is, after all, a book for kids, about kids.

Snape is my favourite character, for the reasons I mentioned above. He's the most full fledged and complex character in the book, and the aura of mystery makes him fascinating and easy to sympathize with.

It would have to be Book 6, because each just gets better and better, letting us know more and more about Voldemort, unrolling the tapestry of life in that world, with the Weasleys, and Harry, Hagrid, and Dumbledore, all interlinked.

My favourite character? If I had to choose, I'd pick Snape, for depth, and dark humour, and sheer cussedness - I still can't work him out !!

Book 4.
Harry was still humble in this book but he was also in peak form during the Tri-Wizard Tourney. Also Mad-Eye was great.
My favorite character is Snape. Cold-blooded bad guy.

My favorite book is Goblet of Fire. I feel it is the best written of the series, and it really starts exploring the themes of Harry's celebrety and its disadvantages, the beginning of Harry's coming of age, and of course the return of Voldemort.
