Even though death is a reality for us all, we do fantasize about it, not if it's going to happen but what it is. Some are obsessed with the whys, hows and whens of death to no avail.
Others of us fantasize about what it is, where we'll go, who we'll meet, what it means. Is it an end or really the beginning? We ponder if the is a garden there, a beautiful bright light, darkness, nothingness.
Some, as I said obsess about it, others question and just accept it's coming.

Death is final with no fantasy, just a lot of conjecture. Many religions address it as a way station leading to the ultimate adventure, but my Goth, agnostic and atheist friends think it in terms of worm food, joining the undead or just the big blackout. Who am I to dispute others with perhaps more experience in the murky planes such as Lestat, DonHifboth parentswerealbino or Jayasri, contacts whom are far more comfortable or resigned to death than yours truly? Through Y!A I get a real kaleidoscopic view of life, death and eternity and none of them have been caught with their shorts down as far as I am concerned and we all seem to still be working on the jigsaw. None of my friends, relatives or pets other than a ghost cat have returned to report on the afterlife in great detail, so thus far death means gone from my ken and life eternal is our final fantasy.

No.
Death is a reality.
For those us who are suffering it is the final healing.
In death we lose consciousnes of pain, hunger and every other physical need we have while alive.
Without the body we still have a spirit.
The closest anology is when we are asleep and lose consciousnes of our body and our spirit is free to roam.
To prepare ourselves for the surest destination we should be more and more conscious of our spirit and less and less conscious of worldly things like money, sense gratifications,
anger, jealousy, success, failure etcetera.
The sooner we start becoming conscious of our spirit the better we prepare for death and the transision from life to death would be more enjoyable!!!???
