The video of fans running with Hank Aaron as he rounds the bases will be forever shown for as long as baseball is played. These fans will be shown as well. Would you want the same for you as Barry rounds the bases? Sure, you'll pay a huge penalty for doing so but it's not like it's a felony or anything. Oh yeah, you'll be remembered every damn time the video is shown for the rest of your life!

No. Bonds' challenge to Hank Aaron's title is not legitimate. Not to true baseball fans.

I don't think you will see much fan participation as you did back in the 70's for Aaron.

The excitement will no doubt be there ......but because of the Riot Police, SWAT, Anti-Terrorism, force protection, plain clothes policeman and regular uniforms making sure no one gets on the field ........you just may see Barry running around those bases alone.

if he plays away i think they boo him,and if it weren't for the fact the ball might be worth something i bet they would throw the ball back on the field to.For financial reasons the fans will keep the ball but still boo him.If it happens at home you'll see a standing ovation probably go on for five minutes with bonds stopping before the dugout to salute his home town supporters with a few tips of the cap .Then tommorow will come and no one will give two craps about Bonds or his record anymore. He will retire at the end of the season and we can finally get back to real baseball and leave the bonds circus behind.

I love your nickname! I'm a baseball fan living in SF with my family and we love the Giants and A's!

If it happened at Network Associates Park during the Bay Bridge Series, no one would try it, even knowing the A's fans respect Barry.

If it happened at AT&T Park, maybe some fanatical diehard fans may try it just for the heck of it.

After attending games at both stadiums, I think that they both have adequate security to prevent that type of celebration from happening.

No, because I consider that sort of behavior obnoxious in the best of times.

Besides, 2007 isn't 1974. There'll probably be counterterrorist snipers on the light stanchions.

I think it is a shame the way the fans are disregarding Bond's great acheivements he is in fact on of the best if not the best player to ever step on the field

I don't think there's enough room for the fans along with Bonds and his over-inflated ego down on the field.

Fans wouldn't be able to grab and hug Barry without his steroid/arthritis cream getting all over them.

I hope this idiot breaks the record somewhere other than Pac Bell Park and everyone boos.

This guy is a racist, hypocrite, piece of garbage excuse for a human being.

Hank Aaron refuses to be there for the "big moment". What's that tell you?
