I suspect your a Cuban American...and hatred runs deep for Castro in the Cuban American community, but ask your self these questions ! What legal right does America have in invading Cuba ? What is there to gain but big business taking advantage of an already basket case economy?
Do You want the mafia back and rich Americans stealing
Cuban land ? i know several people who have visited Cuba
and they all have said, the Cuban people want change but they don't want Americas involvement !

Many Cubans are happy with life under Fidel, the ones who left Cuba and moved to the USA were mainly the people who lost the good-life as capitalists, the people who exploited the working class employed in the sugar plantations for poor wages.
There also was a big influx of U.S. Mafia gangs heavily involved in Casinos, and smuggling from pre-Fidel Cuba. As well as US Business firms making big money from exploiting Cuban resources.
Fidel will soon pass away and probably then Cuba will have a chance to change, however no country has the right to force its will upon another just because they dont like that particular countries political ideas.
Cuba is no threat to the USA unless there is a mass convertion to Muslim fundamentalism. :-p

There is more then just one reason for this. Cuba is making a lot of money for being under "United State's Wing" and also some Cubans don't want to be apart of the United States. It could end up like Iraq. We go over, try to help, then get shot out by people who don't want to be apart of U.S.

The US is one of the reasons he's in power, right? And there are many loyalists to Castro, and China is a communist nation which may become its ally (if it hasn't already, since they have similar governments).
Its not as easy as it may look.

The US is not in the business of freeing people. It is in the business of obtaining and maintaing assets. Period. A wise Winston Churchill once said' Nations do not have friends, they have only assets." This remains true today

Castro will be gone soon enough. Let's hope change for the Cuban people will just as quickly follow.

Ahh.... great question! The fact that it has not been done is proof that the cold war is still in full swing and we don't want to rattle the cage.

You silly people. Even if Fidel dies, his brother will probably continue on. The fact is, it's their sovereign country, they will do with it what they will. People are happy and unhappy everywhere... what, do you think some european nation is going to swoop in someday for the oppression of minorities and the working class of the United States? After all, it's long "doo"...lol
How are we going to condescend to spread freedom when we ain't got it?

its not our responsibility to tell other countries how to run a government, especially since we do such a crappy job.
but that doesn't stop us from trying.
you need to shut the caps lock off.

Let Cuba take care of themselves. Only if they become a problem for us. Otherwise, not our problem.
