No dress code, just don't wear shabby shorts and that sort of thing. Dress like you were going on a casual date. I think they'll let you in wearing just about anything but you can look out of place.
I have seen a line but nothing that is too terrible. I was there during a college spring break once and I think there was a line around midnight.
Side note: Start off at the Bar at Times Square (also in NYNY) a little earlier. It is a great place to have some warm up drinks and can be an absolute blast. I see people of all ages there and everyone has fun.

RE:
How hard is it to get into Coyote Ugly?
On a Fri. or Sat. night, how hard is it to get into Coyote? Do you just wait in line, walk right in or you have to be a VIP to get in? How strict is the dress code?

Gamble at NY NY and drink for free, then head over to Coyote Ugly and watch the women on the TV monitors from outside the bar. You'll probably get more out of it that way! It's so packed (a total sausage fest) it's really not worth it.

I loved this bar in Vegas! Free drinks for me all night, since I was dancing on the bar. I like that they just have a jukebox, so you can play whatever you want to hear and don't have to listen to a crappy DJ playing top 40 and rap all night. The juke box has absolutely everything on it. There was a line around midnight, but none when we went in around 10. My only problem with the place was that the back section was closed, and I'm pretty sure that is where the bathroom is. Either that, or there is no bathroom at all, and they want you to have to leave the bar and go into the casino to use one.

One reason I got a German Shepherd was because foxes kept killing my laying hens and raccoons were eating my cat food and crows were dragging my garbage into the street and the list goes on. I have never lived in the city and I do not intend to, but since a majority of the people in my area are from California their solution is to whine and complain that hunters should kill more wolves, coyotes, foxes, deer, squirrels, raccoons, rabbit, anything you can think of that would inconvenient the almighty city people. 10 years ago deer hunting used to be much easier and you saw deer more often, now you're lucky if you even see a spike (a male deer that is too young to legally kill without a special tag). The reason is because they think the world revolves around them, the show Frasier was supposed to jokingly show what yuppies are, their lives are not a comedy show but they DO in fact think they are more important than anything else! Wildlife IS a part of the woods, but they don't care, they would rather rid the forest of its animals than deal with a poo on their car....

its not a matter of a vip list its the fire marshalls to blame, there can only be a certain amount of people in coyote ugly, you see a line there because when a party comes out a party goes in. Thers not a dress code persay, button shirt with jeans and sneakers is okay.

DO NOT GO TO COYOTE UGLY AS IT SUCKS.
There are hundreds of better places in Vegas than this sad excuse for a bar/nightclub.

There was a little line when I went past there at 6 - they open then for Happy Hour - and no line by 7:30.
I'd go just for the 6-9pm Happy Hour and then go party somewhere else.

I was there a few years ago...nothing special, just a bar which gets really crowded. Don't think there is a dress code.
