Yes, Austingirl I know what you are saying.
But I am analyzing peoples thought process. Sometimes people do not want to admit to something (even if they agree with it %100)...so the way around that is to say in a different manner...so as not to blemish their ego.

I am psycho-analyzing how people think by analyzing their answers.

BTW, I do acknowledge that sects from other religions have done horrible things.

Your meaning is unclear, read your sentence again.
There's obviously a typo here and you either mean :
"I'm a Liberal and acknowledgeD Islamic Terrorist" or,
"I'm a Liberal and acknowledge Islamic TerrorisM"

Are you naively trying to extract confessions from people or are you asking people to admit there are Islamists who use terrorism to achieve certain goals? I'll guess the second, for the sake of argument, but I'm not really sure.

Everyone knows there are terrorists and that many of these are Muslim extremists. Those aren't the real issues. The real issues are: how do we capture these criminals, how do we prevent the use of this tactic, is the use of the military the most effective way to combat terrorism... there are more, but these are the type of issues that need to be discussed.

It's not just a matter of saying, yes, there are terrorists in the world, and then endorsing whatever the president wants to do. Obviously that doesn't work, and there are more terrorists today than there were 5 years ago.

I'm a Liberal and acknowledge Islamic Terrorist. They are out there causing damage. So once we take a defensive posture the first question to ask is why.

I am not satisfied with an answer that makes the Islamic world look like a nut farm. In fact if you look close to home we are more nut farmish then they are. So I ask again, why? Is why so hard?

This is the answer I have come up with:

To them we are all Christian/European/Colonialists. To them it doesn't matter if we are American, English, or even French; we just want one thing: oil. Whether they are right or not doesn't matter at this point; we are analyzing how they think.

The west have supported despotic regimes in Islamic nations for centuries now. We over through their democratically elected president in Iran back in the 50's. We blindly support Israel (reminds them of the crusades). We kept military bases in the country where their holy city of Mecca is. We are closing in on them. Hell if I were Muslim I'd be pissed too!

What I don't get is that right-wingers aren't admitting to the truth; over her in the west we are a merciless group of bandits. We grab what ever we can get. We manipulate, steal, and manipulate again. But the right-wingers won't admit it.

I would have way more respect for you all if you just came out and admitted it, "we are ruthless bandits, and will stop at nothing to get what we want".

But instead you all just stand behind your cross and hold this morally superior tone as if you were God's chosen ones or something.

If you want to start with terrorist, try the CIA! They have been doing it longer than radical Islam, who were not Iraqi's by the way!

That being said, I am against all terrorist, including those from America who have done far worse things, however, I will leave you with a current blog you right-wingers can use. Some of it is not factual as it blames certain entities, when in fact, they were not involved.

Secondly, It leaves out all of America's attempts to overthrow governments, war crimes, torture, selling arms and fighter (F14) parts to Iran by Bush and Reagan. We helped overthrow an elected government in Iran by terrorist attacks being conducted by the CIA.

It leaves out our relationship with Osama bin Laden and our putting into power people like the Shaw of Iran, Castro and Saddam Hussein, among many others!

In short, this is a biased film that has some truth, though I am sure you right-wingers will not say there is another side to this story, and one of the main ones is our treatment of Islamics and the stealing of THEIR, not our, natural resources. In other words, they have a legitimate ***** that we won't address!

I am not a Liberal. Islam is one of the most peaceful religions in the world, some people just wrongly decipher their Quran and think crazy ideas like extremism. That whole local militants thing is a good idea to defend your country from invaders and the whole Terrorist thing is beautiful because your enemies have no idea where or when an attack will be. Sure what I just said may seem awful to you but if the Western Christians were doing it you would agree with the statement I said. By the way Bush is a moron, his IQ is 120 (I am 15 and my Iq is 122) sorry to put Bush in this but I really hate him.

Liberals will always spew pablum about the terrorist, they are scared to admit that we are definately in a war on terror and that Iraq will turn out to be just one of a couple more stops.
The terrorist are out for "our" blood they will not stop till we put it down.

Timothy McVeigh was not a christian conservative anarchist. That is completely misleading. Timothy McVeigh bombed the OKC building to start a revolution around the country to throw out an oppressive government. The fact that he was a christian had nothing to do with his decision. In fact he wasn't a christian until a few weeks before his execution. He is neither an anarchist or a conservative. He believed in smaller government, not no government at all. You should check some things out before trying to state things as fact, but then again.... I am asking a liberal to fact-check... I know this is a strange concept.

I honestly don't think you will get a liberal to admit that Islamic terrorism exists, or that it is a threat.
