spent 3 months (June, July, Aug) all over the state and the average was about 65-70. You will have some long streaks of rainy and cloudy weather, but it seems alot warmer at 65 in Fairbanks than 65 does in Chicago. Watch out for sunburn. When it got to 72 in Anchorage, it felt like 85. Have fun!

Depends on where in Alaska you go... Alaska is a mighty big state... the farther north you go, the lower the temps...

I spent 6 weeks in Nome about 4 summers ago. Even though the average temp. was about 45 degrees (F), the atmosphere was warm, because the sun was high in the sky for about 20 hours a day.

I worked part time while in Nome, and since I had no vehicle, I walked everywhere... In the mornings, I wore short sleeves and a pullowver longsleeve shirt... by afternoon, I was back to my short sleeves.

Walking warmed me and the long sunny days also warmed me.

Maybe go to the weather channel website and check out the areas of Alaska that you are planning to visit.

Uh, it also depends on what month you are talking about. The first two weeks of what, March 1973?
