I assume you mean
((6a+12)/5)*(10/(a+2))=
6(a+2)*10/(5*(a+2))=
6*10/5=12

To solve for 'a' you have to have that equal something. You can simplify this equation however so i will assume that's what you need to do to it.

First rewrite it with brackets cause its easier to look at
(6a + 12/5)*(10/a + 2)

Then factorize out, times the 1st and 4th, then 1st and 3rd, then 2nd and 3rd and then 2nd and 4th.

(6a*10/a) + (6a*2) + (12/5*10/a) + (12/5*2)

Simplify this down.
In the first part the a on the top and bottom cancels so it is just 60.

60 + 12a + 120/5a + (2.4*2)

then simplify further

60 + 12a + 24a + 4.8

and further by adding the 60 and 4.8 and then the 12a and 24 a

64.8 + 36a

so that would be your answer if simplifying was what you had to do.

This is not an equation. The expression

(6a + 12/5)(10/a + 2) =
60 + 24/a + 12a + 24/5 =
324/5 + 24/a + 12a

but that's simplifying an expression, not solving an equation.

= 6.(a + 2) x 2 / (a + 2)
= 12
