in the bible it was suppose to reach to the heavens, but the thing is you left out a part of the story. The ruler of the kingdom shot an arrow into the sky to see if it would reach heaven (being so high up, and to basically spite God), and for such and act God shook the land causing the tower to fall and everyone to start speaking in the different tounges of the world.
so trying to find the tower ain't going to happen, because it fell and doesn't stand today. but if you want a start it's in Asia minor, or also known as the middle east.

The tower of Babel from what we know is a large structure that was built in attempt to reach the heavens. The tower of Babel looks a lot in appearance to a ziggurat in ancient sumer. You would probably need to go somewhere in the middle east to find it.

Practically No Where! but in Torah.

This is an Aramaic story linked with the migration of Abraham some 2900 BC. He came to Palestine from ancient city of Ur - southern part of Babylone now called Basra (Iraq).

Moses delivered Israelitis arround 1290 BC and he gave them two things; National Idendity as Jew - The children of God and Hope of the Promised Land.

Torah tells us that Jews have never been thankful to God. However after getting the Promised land in south west of Palestine they started worshipping of the Palestinian Gods and Goddess, Baal,Hadath, lat, Ashtarath etc... even the King David and Soloman were blamed to mary Palestinian and Canninat women and worship their Godds.

After destruction of Jerusalam in 720 BC the stories of Tower of Babel were recalled/ repeated by some Jew prophets - Isaiah, Amose etc. to create fear of God and repentance.

The concept of Tower of Babel is in negative sense not in positive sense. God knows better!

No where, because much like the Colossus of Rhodes, the Lighthouse of Alexandria or the Hanging Gardens of Babylon no one can PROVE that it ever really existed. They are trying mind you and some folks think they may have found evidence of the Tower in modern Iraq, but no one is completely sure yet.

Who knows, maybe we'll trip across it one day...

U can find it in Iraq - which used to be Babylon.
Sadam Hussein believed he was the re-incarnation of Nebuchadrezzar, the king of Babylon.
