I roll my towels; they don*t wrinkle and you can store more of them on the shelves. Also try rolling them and putting them in a wine rack on the counter;
BTW. I also roll my husbands tee shirts, same reason as for the towels.

I like folding my hand towels into thirds width-wise. They fit on the towel holders better and just look better that way. The rest I just keep folding in halves till they are the size I want them.
As far as how to make a bathroom pop, here's how: CONTRASTING COLORS.
Your floor color and hardware color (toilet, shower, cabinets, faucets, towel bars, etc) should contrast with the color of the walls. So if you have light colored hardware, the floor color should be light and the walls should be dark. If you have dark colored hardware, then you should have a dark colored floor and light or medium colored walls.
The reason why contrasting colors work so well is because the contrast draws attention to your hardware (basically the things in the room you want to stand out). It makes the hardware pop out at you.
I did that in two of my bathrooms. In my hall bathroom, I used a medium to dark gray. The cabinets are natural oak with antique black handles (the handles contrast in color with the cabinet to stand out). For the sink, I used a white marble basin to contrast with the grey walls and I used a chrome faucet with white porcelain handles. My towel bars are chrome with a white porcelain base to go along with the faucet handles and toilet and shower color (a white porcelain toilet and a shower with white porcelain tiles). My flooring is a light tan stone looking linoleum to coordinate with the cabinets and bring some warmth into the room. For the shower curtain I used a fancy white cloth shower curtain. For the curtain rings I have chrome curtain rings but I plan on switching them to a shiny silverish/metallic black to contrast against the white. The wood trim in the room is white. The lighting is a nickel finish with a white marble glass for the light shades.
I used silver/chrome as an accent color for stuff that I added to the room such as a glass tea candle holder on the toilet that I placed on a silver square plate. Then I used a painting of an orchid on the wall in a silver frame with a beige matte. And for some reason I used a Japanese hanging by the sink (a black frame with a Japanese saying inside it). Then beside the sink I used a vase with a brown and grey metallic finish to hold this cool kind of decorative straw. Helped to bring out some of the warm brown in the room coordinating with the cabinets and floor. The towels in the room are white.
For my half bathroom downstairs, have the same style of cabinets, faucet, toilets, sink, trim and floor, but I changed the room color and style. My downstairs has a jazz theme to it. So I painted the half bath a jazzy bold rich blue color. A medium to dark blue with a ever so slight hint of purple to it. I couldn't think of a better color to represent jazz. Against the white trim and the bright natural oak cabinets and natural oak blinds over the windows with white cloth risers, it really made everything in the room really pop out at you. For the walls, I used simple black picture frames with a white matte, then I put black and white pictures of musical instruments that I printed on glossy picture paper from my computer in the picture frames. The towels in the room are white with a blue stripe to go along with the blue and I added a vase to the bathroom sink with the straw like I did in the other room. However this time I used a bright red vase to contrast with wall in typical simple bold jazz styling. The affect and look is awesome especially with the bold red. The thing I like about the decorating straw compared to plants which I normally like....you don't have to water it or worry about it dying. AND, since it isn't fake you don't have to worry about it not looking real.
