I went back and saw I got a thumb down and only one other person out of 20 did she is another Top Contributor. That's a new twist to my confusion about thumbs down apparently someone ONLY thumbs down Top Contributors hmmmm?! I always assumed they just didn't agree with me now it's a jealousy thing okay now I understand.

Yes its personal I find they check out your profile see how many best answers you have then start giving you thumbs down to put their chances up you will probably find they also answered the Q then gave you a thumbs down.......

It does not result the way you elect an amazing answer, i've got faith it in basic terms hides the respond from the guy who gave it a thumbs down. they are no longer getting factors for thumbing up or down an answer. sure, people choose to be ignorant and stressful yet ultimately it makes no distinction in what you notice =)

It's more than likely coincidence. Someone, no one has figured out who yet, goes down the line and gives everyone a thumbs down "just because he/she can". Don't take it personally. Maybe he/she will get a crick in their finger. : }
