Everyone should be able to hold their own on both the offensive and defensive aspects of the game against their counterparts. So lets just look over at the advantages shall we?
Shaq VS Wilt - No advantage. They are just as strong and their presence in the paint is as dominating as each other
Kevin VS Tim - Advantage is Tim. Duncan brings much more to the table than Garnett. And its not just the rebounds and shot blocking, but its the leadership qualities that also stand out with Duncan. He knows when its better to take over or let others do the work.
Larry VS George - Advantage is Larry Bird. Bird is a better all around player than the "Iceman" Would be interesting to watch who would score more though
Reggie VS Kobe - Kobe Bryant has the advantage. Kobe has more tricks up his sleeve when it comes to offense (fade-aways, dunks, leaners, etc.) compared to Miller. On the defensive end, Kobe still has the advantage. (proof? Kobe has gotten on All-Defensive teams a number of times) If anyone at all, the most important aspect of the game is how the matchup at the 2 spot works out
Pete VS Jason - Tie. Two people who are very creative with the basketball. Another interesting matchup.
So if we base the winner by the advantages, team 2 wins :)

Maravich vs. Kidd gives edge to team 2, as does Kobe. Good matchup though - I'd love to see that game...

All I can say is I wouldn't bet against Larry Bird. When he hears people say the second team will win, he would make sure his team did not lose.
