The predators are out there. They have been all along. Still, if I need to drink at the watering hole, I have to climb out of the trees and go there. There's only one answer. I can reason, they can't, so I band together with the others and we keep watch, taking turns drinking and watching. At first that's good enough, but soon the predator comes, and we scamper up the tree again. All of us make it but one, and so the predator eats tonight. That cannot go on or the tribe will die. The next time the predator comes, we will fight it. Some of us will die, but the predator will learn to fear us because the creatures it was hunting are now hunting it. The next time I climb down from the tree, I stand a little more erect. After the predator is dead, I don't go back to the tree. I stand.

Yes I walk away. The enemy isn't worth my time or getting stressed over.

No, I run to the fore front and stand firm and tall and warn the enemy "unless you want to experience the horror that is me angry I suggest you retreat". Like I say, " the brighter the light the darker the shadow ". Sure I love nothing more than to lift up those I love and bring a little love and wisdom into their world, to those who threaten those worlds I am trying to protect I will destroy them as if they were plastic dolls with no souls.

I'm not wired to run away. I'll try to reason first, but most people see that as a sign of weakness. At that point I would have no alternative except to "wall-to-wall" counsel the idiot. People are more apt to react in your favor from violence than reason. That's how F'd up the world is.
