28 Days Later..I love the fact the whole horror was based on People's rage getting the better of them, coz Ive seen normal ppl do some scary sh*t when they're angry
.and the zombies didn't scare me one bit. It was the people and what happens to them in circumstances like these. I guess there really is a monster lurking somewhere inside us after all...just waiting for a chance to be released.

Hi. i would have to say Alfred Hitchcock's PSYCHO,the original and the best. I saw it in 1961.when i was 16 years old.and it "scared the pants off me"Today's audience would find it rather tame as they have been brought up on a diet of blood and guts and gore featured movies

Dam only one person put the exorcist. NO movie even comes close. All these movies about killers (Jason, Chucky, Leatherface, Freddy, Jigsaw) all of them are nowhere near the exercist. Especially the grudge movies. My six year old sister wasnt even scared.

When I was 8 years old, "The Crawling Eye," was the scariest movie I'd ever seen. That was over 40 years ago. I always remembered it as being extremely scary, but I saw it recently, and it is so lame, I can't believe it ever bothered me.

The Ring, original japanese version. Saw it twice and still creeped me out. Just before I saw the 1st time, I was at a comic shop and had heard a heavily tatooed and body pierced guy told the comic shop owner that the movie really scared the **** out of him. I was well "prepared" for the movie then.

i gotta say honestly that not a whole lot scares me (and i watch a lot of horror flicks) but i gotta say that "it" is pretty damn scary.... although for me its a clown thing and tim curry plays a very creepy one! Maybe also, the "hallowe'en" movies. Only because they aren't that far fetched... meaning the idea of a psycho killing people (the fact that he has been killed a million times is crap.... but the psycho part could be true) so i will go with that.

The Blaire Witch Project , I guess because you have to use your imagination alot. When I was young, I thought that The Shining & The Hand were pretty scary.

House of Wax
It was scary to think someone in Hollywood actually thought Paris Hilton could act.

Saw or Texas Chainsaw Massacre, because they seem realistic and not supernatural

Silence of the Lambs because a whack job like that could easily be your neighbor.
