1. possibility of pregnancy--ready or not?
2. possibility of STD's--could have permanent scars
3. possibility of HIV--end result is death
4. possibility of being used--bf/gf dumps you after sex
5. mentally or emotional instability--not ready for children
6. protection does not 100% mean NO chance of Accidents
7. not enough money--if there's a child, will the couple have enough cash to support the kid?
8. not ready for commitment--if there's a child, either abortion or guy would run away leaving the girl emotionally scared for life to bear the responsibility alone
9. if they're young and just experimenting--got to be mentally ready to be parents first
10. if it was a mistake, especially for ladies, you'll never get back your virginity.
11. a girl's and guy's virginity can be the purest gift you can give to each other because it's intimate and marriage is a life-long partnership.
12. sex should not be taken lightly because of all the possible consequences. if these consequences have been talked over and agreed upon prior to intercourse, then it depends on how much trust and love you have in your relationship and that defers from couple to couple...
13. a sense of morality. your integrity, virtue, character, etc.
14. religious purposes
15. definitely Every parent wouldn't like sex before marriage. it's just despicable to them, and it may seem that they didn't raise their children properly...
16. everybody's parents have had their share of experience already and grown wiser over the years that they raised you up. when they say stuff, there's usually a reason behind it... perhaps you should make friends with your parents and ask them what their reasons are :)

finally, remember that sex AND marriage should Never be taken lightly. there's lots of responsibility and commitment involved between the couple and that's why most couples end up in divorce because they were Not Ready for unexpected children and Not Ready for Reality. well, i gave over 10 reasons but i hope they all helped :D

I don't know about ten reasons but I will give you this advice...Sex is so intimate that it should be saved for the one person who you truly wish to know more about you than anyone else in the world. Everyone smells differently and being inside each other is so penetrating to the very soul of a person that it is something you can't get out of your head. Anyone that says having sex with a bunch of people just for pleasure is ok and fun, probably rarely, if ever has sex completely sober or free of drugs. It just really isn't that great to have sex with someone your not in love with. All the hype leaves you disappointed and feeling dirty. Unfortunately no amount of soap gets a person off you who you've had sex with, so make sure its someone you love and want with you for the rest of your life.

well i do not know 10 reasons but i can give you 1 good reason....

if you have sex before marriage and you get the girl pregnant you may just not take the pressure and leave like every other guy. guys tend to leave girls once they get pregnant for a reason i dont even know why they do it. im a male myself but id never leave a girl if she got pregnant but i dont think you would either. most guys who leave there girl after shes pregnant will have somthing to regret there whole life.

I have nothing because, I am married and I believe in being together with your true sole mate but, you need to find out before getting married if sex is good together. Because, what if you get married and the sex sucks then what.

I didn't, and that was the right choice for me, but everyone is different. Maybe you have a strong moral or religious code that you believe in and would make you feel bad if you didn't wait.
